Privacy Policy
At 3 Things, your privacy matters. This policy explains how we handle your data and keep things simple and transparent.
1. What We Collect
3 Things is a minimal task-tracking app. We only collect what's needed to make the app work well and provide helpful feedback:
- Anonymous task content: When you enter your daily tasks, they may be sent anonymously to trusted AI services (like OpenAI) to provide suggestions or insights. No personally identifiable information is attached to this data.
- Usage analytics (optional): We may collect anonymized data such as how often the app is opened or which features are used, to help us improve the app.
- Crash and performance data: Used to fix bugs and improve app stability.
We do not collect names, email addresses, or any other personally identifiable information.
2. How We Use Your Data
Any data collected is used for the following purposes:
- Providing AI-powered feedback on your tasks
- Improving app performance and reliability
- Understanding general app usage (in aggregate)
We do not store your task content. AI services such as OpenAI may temporarily process the content to generate feedback, but do not retain or use this data for training (as per their policy).

We do not sell or share your data with third parties for marketing.
3. Third-Party Services
We may use trusted third-party tools, including:
- OpenAI – to generate helpful insights about your tasks
- Firebase – for anonymous analytics and crash reporting
Each third-party provider has its own privacy policy. We only work with services that uphold strong privacy and security standards.
4. Children's Privacy
3 Things is designed to be simple and accessible for all users, including younger audiences. We do not collect any personal information, and the app can be safely used without providing names, email addresses, or account details.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
5. Your Data, Your Control
All task data is stored locally on your device. If you delete the app, your data is deleted too.
We may offer optional backup or sync features in the future. If so, this policy will be updated accordingly.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above. For significant changes, we'll provide a notice in the app.
